# Privacy policy

> What Taiwan Filings collects, why, and how to delete it. Last updated 2026-09-26.

## What we collect

- **Account:** your email address, the companies you watch, your time zone and brief hour.
- **Usage:** calls counted per hashed IP address, account or key, and which assistant app connected. We never store raw IP addresses or license keys.
- **Assistant sign-in (claude.ai, ChatGPT):** OAuth grants and tokens, stored hashed.
- **BOM check:** the manufacturer names you paste stay in the page address and are not stored. Never send part numbers.
- **Survey:** anonymous answers, no personal data.
- **Payments:** handled by Polar. We receive your email, plan and license status, never your card details.

## What we do not do

No advertising, no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics, and we do not sell personal data. The bot check on forms (Cloudflare Turnstile) may set a strictly necessary cookie.

## Processors

- Cloudflare: hosting, database, bot check, email routing
- Resend: sending confirmation emails and briefs
- Polar: payments, tax, invoices, license keys
- Google (Gemini): reads the public filings to write the English summaries; your data is never sent to it

## Retention and deletion

Every brief has an unsubscribe link and a delete link. Deleting removes your account and watchlist and signs out every connected assistant at once. You can also email hello@taiwanfilings.com to access or delete your data.
